Record Kicks ruft einen Remix-Wettbewerb aus. Gerade hat das Label eine neue Single plus Album herausgebracht, Nick Pride And The Pimptones – „Waitin so long feat Jess Roberts“, Video auf You Tube unter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XVjYxBSsLQ. Um das Stück und das Album „Midnight Feast Of Jazz“ zu promoten, haben sie sich jetzt diesen Wettbewerb ausgedacht.
Es geht darum, ein anderes Stück auf dem Album, das jazzige „Lay It On the Line feat. Zoe Gilby“ neu zu bearbeiten. Ich weiß nicht genau, was ihnen vorschwebt, auf jeden Fall geht es darum, dem Stück dieses langweilige Hochzeits-Kapellen-Jazzfeeling zu nehmen und sehr viel hotter zu machen. Zu gewinnen gibt es nicht viel, Record Kicks will den besten Track veröffentlichen – es gibt also nur ein wenig Ruhm zu gewinnen und vielleicht ein CD-Paket, oder so.
Das beste ist sowieso, dass die einzelnen Spuren zur Verfügung stehen, mit denen ihr rum basteln könnt nach Lust und Laune!
Deadline ist der 19. September.

COMPETITION REGULATION:
· Download the song parts HERE .
· Remix the track into your favorite Record Kicks style (jazz-dance, nu funk, nu soul, dancefloor jazz, Jamaican flavored, beats&breaks) according to your own taste/interpretation.
· Submit your remix as a 192kbps MP3 file to the RK Soundcloud dropbox below. All entries must include full contact details, telephone number and postal address.
· The submission phase of the remix competition starts July 11 and ends on September 19.
· Remixes will be judged by the record label and the winner will be announced online and on „Popcorner“ radio show (Radio Rai 2).
· The winning remix will be released alongside the new Nick Pride & The Pimptones single and on the forthcoming MO‘ RECORD KICKS compilation. The winner will also receive a bunch of Record Kicks releases.
· Tracks using uncleared samples from sources outside of these remix parts will be disqualified.
· All remixes submitted for this contest become the legal property of Record Kicks. Your remix contest submission becomes the legal property of the record label hosting the competition as protection against the release of unauthorized remixes.
· All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record, remix or remix parts is prohibited.
